kadugu kuzhambu (Mustard gravy)

Kadugu kuzhambu - i have never tasted and even heard of it till my marriage. My  MIL used to prepare this kuzhambu. It can be taken with plain rice. It has a unique taste.

Ingredients:

Mustard - 2 tbsp
Tamarind water - 1 cup
Sambhar powder - 2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Sesame oil - 2 tbsp
Fenugreek seed - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as per taste

Method:

Powder the mustard in a blender, add little water and grind once more to a smooth paste. Take sesame oil in a pan, add the mustard paste. Cook till the raw smell goes. Add sambhar powder, red chilly powder, salt and thick paste of tamarind water. Cook in a simmer for 10 minutes. Give seasoning with mustard seeds and dry fenugreek seeds or powder.
