Ingredients:
- Ompodi - 2 cups
- Kara boondhi - 1 cup
- Rice flakes(Aval) - 3 cups
- Roasted gram(pottukadalai) - 1/2 cup
- Peanuts - 1 cup
- Cashewnuts - 1/4 cup
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - as per taste
- Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - to deep fry
- Curry leaves - 1/4 cup
Method:
Heat a wok with oil, deep fry rice flakes, peanuts, cashews separately.
Fry roasted gram and curry leaves and drain in the paper towel. Add ompodi, kara boondhi, all the fried items, red chilly powder, salt, pepper powder,hing and give a nice stir.
Note:
- I was not good at taking small items from oil fast, so I used the strainer immersed in the hot oil to deep fry. After frying just remove the strainer from oil and transfer to paper towel. Sounds easy rite :)
