Cilantro lime rice

Cilantro lime rice, a popular rice from Chipotle. It is so easy with less ingredients. It is a great dish to any gravy and can be used in burritos, tacos,.... Hint of lime and cilantro make the rice flavorful. In our home we like it little spicy, so I added green chilly. You can skip too...

Kathirikai mochai kulambu|Brinjal kuzhambu

Mochai and kathrikai are nice combo, we do this for every pongal. A simple south Indian sambhar goes well with rice. Mochai known as field beans will be available in Indian stores all time with vaal liva beans (Deep brand) on the cover. This time I got fresh in our stores. My sister in law bought and cleaned this for me :). Thanks to her. If you don't get this mochai try with any vegetable of your choice.

Poriyal

I did five different types of vegetables for pongal. In India, by the month of January we get these vegetables fresh and cheaper. They prepare with seasonal vegetables. Fresh coconuts are good for health. Raw coconut offers a spectrum of benefits to nourish your body while delighting your tongue. When it is boiled or fried it loses benefits, so I added grated coconuts after switching off the flame.
There are no much differences in each poriyal, so I don't want to bore you all by different posts :)), may be it is like a big list, but everything is so easy and simple.

Cheesecake

Happy New year!!!! Let's welcome 2013 with lots of hope and dreams to come true.  I very badly, wanted to have cheesecake. I have been overwhelmed many times looking at the cheesecake and not being able to have it because of egg or gelatin in it. I experimented with agar agar and Philadelphia cream cheese here. I have never used agar agar in any way. Since agar agar has a tendency to set even in normal temperature, tried doing all steps and kept my fingers crossed thinking of the results. To my temptation and eagerness the cheesecake turned out so good and had set so nicely.
