Lemon and lime soda

I took a long break.............. from blogging. Kids had vacation and some personal work was behind me. Back here......planning to continue without a break :) . Hope it works. Half of the summer has gone, but I hardly didn't have time to post it. Do try this and enjoy each sip!!!!

Ingredients:
  • Lemon - 2
  • Lime -1
  • Chilled soda water

Syrup:
  • Lime zest - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup

Method:

Mince the lime finely for the zest. To prepare the syrup, combine zest, sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring to boil over high heat for a minute. Switch it off and remove from fire and let it cool down. Makes more than a cup.
Squeeze the lemon and lime in a bowl. Filter to remove the seeds.
Mix with syrup. Add soda and stir well.  Fill the tall glass with ice.
Pour the juice and serve.

Note:
  • If you feel the syrup is more. Reserve and use it for future, this can be stored in the refrigerator for a month.
  • Serve immediately after soda is added.
