Papdi is one of the popular chaat in India. It is very simple to prepare. This can be used in variety of chaats or can be taken as such. Have this in hand, and do varieties of chaat.
Ingredients:
Place 1 3/4 cup of flour in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Knead the dough with water for 5 minutes.Cover and leave for 30 minutes.
Divide into 10 equal portions. Use the remaining 1/4 cup of flour for dusting. Roll into a thin circle. Using a cookie cutter shape into small circles.
Pierce holes with the help of fork to avoid puffing up.Heat oil in deep frying pan on medium heat. Slip 4 to 5 papris gently into oil. Keep turning over and fry until brown and crispy.
After it cools, store in a airtight container.

- Tymol seeds (Ajwain) - 1 tbsp
- Water, lukewarm - 1 /2 cup
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Salt - as per taste
