Mooli paratha | Radish flatbread

A long gap between me and my blog. I miss all of your posts too. We are settling down and having hard time with kids. Most often I don't stuff radishes, I grate and mix with flour. The water in the radish is so healthy and quite enough to form a dough. So easy and healthy parathas.

Ingredients:
  • Grated radish - 1 cup
  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 1 to 2 tsp, if needed
  • Oil - as per need

Method:
In a wide bowl combine grated radish, red chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Gradually add wheat flout to the grated radish.
Combine to form a dough, add water if necessary. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts. Roll them into a disc dusting with flour.
Heat a wide pan, and transfer the paratha, drizzle oil and flip to the other side brush 1/2 tsp of oil and cook till golden spots appear.

Serve with raitha or pickle.
Note:
  • If it is the water in radish is more, try adding more flour. If you find the dough to be hardadd 1 or 2 tbsp of water.

So this how they do it? Wow, it really awesome! I can’t wait to try this at home. Too bad, I don’t have enough ingredients yet. Need to get some for tomorrow’s event. Anyway, thanks a whole bunch for this new recipe! I owe you one! Hope you’re having a bubbly weekend!
