Pineapple rasam
I have already posted kandathippili rasam which has more medicinal values. Pineapple rasam is tangy and sweet. I love pineapple rasam, and can have as such as soup. Rasam is always a comfort meal with a simple potato roast.

Kalkandu pongal
I have never tasted this kalkandu pongal, so wanted to try for this pongal. Kalkandu is sugar candy. sakkarai pongal is my favorite one which is with jaggery and this with sugar candy. Milk pongal is also as white as kalakandu pongal.

Coconut rice
Coconut rice is one of my favorite variety rice when I was a kid, my mom used to pack for lunch box to school with potato fry or colacasia fry. Nowadays considering of health, that coconut should not be fried more, I avoid preparing this. Once in a while this aromatic rice is perfectly ok. Kids will love this, give a try......

Sorakkai (bottle gourd halwa)
Bottle gourd is a kind of pumpkin family, which is high in water content. It is named as sorakkai, lauki, doodhi according to the regions. More than fruits, the halwa done with vegetables are good. I have done carrot halwa, beetroot halwa except I missed pumpkin(kasi) halwa. This is simple and tastes delicious with less ghee and sugar.

Puliyodharai (puli sadam) is the authentic south Indian dish. Puliyodharai is served in most of the temples as prasadham. The roasted flavor of masalas and sesame oil is secret ingredients of puliyodharai. It taste divine, when the rice gets all the flavors of tamarind and roasted powder. When puli kaychal is prepared ahead, mixing with rice is easy and suits for traveling and lunch boxes.
Even though the measurements are given exactly, the taste varies depending upon the spice of chilly level and tanginess of tamarind. So please add or reduce the tamarind and red chilly as per your taste...
